Update on TMB

Allot of distractions with the weather warming up,
work, lawn care ...

But I've made some progress:

* w w w . fr eewebs . com /willispage8/octoberbuildpage1.htm

I got the B+, heaters, preamp .. tone stack wired.
Next is the phase spliter and power section.
I average a couple parts every other day or so.

(schematic too ).

I like doing the real - P2P wiring ... makes it like a
puzzle and everything is out in the open.

The captions got screwed up ... I don't have the patiences to
re-edit them .

You may know this already, but there are a few problems
with that schematic. I didn't proof it completely, but
you're missing a plate resistor on the phase inverter,
the 250p cap in the tonestack needs to move to the other
side of the slope resistor connection, and you really
ought to have at least one more stage in the power supply.

Looks like a fun project.

possibility ! likely ... I'll add it to the next version.

'' yeah '' I aready caught that (while wiring).

I looked at a variety of 18w ... and some have separate
B+ for preamp's , post tone amp, phase spliter, ...
and other don't .... I like the
simplified approach so far.

reasons being ?

--> work in progress.

Real amp builders don't need captions. Not enough beaver shots. This looks
like the kind of thing I do. I want more pics.

I usually don't solder things until I get it all "dry fitted" under and
over. Can't see if you've soldered or not.

Good luck!

your a sick man Phil... I'll have to 'fuzz' out the real connections
you know ... for adults only.

Yeah, well, it's Dave's fault. He keeps forgetting to pick me up on the way
to the 12-step group meetings for ampaholics anonymous. I guess it's too
long a ride from ME to MD. Can't say that I don't understand, but it feels
good to blame someone.
