VOTE FOR BARACK!

Hmmm, His Royal Chocolate Easterbunnyness seems to have added seven
new states, and he isn't even elected yet! That's a helluva trick, I gotta

admit:

* latimesblogs.latimes . com /washington/2008/05/new-patriotic-o.html

So - the decision now is, do we want four more years of the Bush
administration, or four more years of the Carter administration?

Help us out, Jimmuh!

I've always thought of the Carter administration as being mostly a failure.
However given that Carter didn't flush away the lives of thousands of
American soldiers as well as waste hundreds and hundreds of billions of
dollars on a pointless and unjustified war, ummmm, maybe the Chocolate
Easter Bunny is looking pretty good these days. Scares you, doesn't it
Willy, a Dem in the White House and both houses of Congress under their
control. Now you know how the rest of the world feels about the neocons.

If the mission to save the hostages had been a success, Carter would
have been re-elected. However, that mission seemed to doom to fail
from the start, even if it wasn't Carter's fault.

I voted for Jimmy Carter and I'd still vote for him today if he were
running.

Carter was a jerk.

He single handedly turned the USA into a paper tiger.

He gave the terrorist what they wanted.

You don't negotiate with terrorists.

You kill 'em.

It's called Zero Tolerance.

Why do you say that? He was a little "preachy" but he wasn't a jerk.

Can you back these statements up with facts?

Yes & even worse is when you don't do anything, as Reagan did after
the Beirut bombing of the Marine barracks. That lack of action
actually emboldened the terrorists more than any other single event
IMO.

If we had listened to Jimmy Carter, we would have been free of our
dependence on OPEC oil. We would be using much more solar power & the
environment would be cleaner.

Yeah - I know. I think it's pretty interesting that they can deny all
the things Carter wanted to do on energy independence, considering
where we are today - war in Iraq & gas/fuel prices soaring. These
right-wing wacko's are just too funny & they're going to LOSE come
Nov.

And we wouldn't be in a quagmire over oil and probably
never would have been terrorized on 9/11.

At least Carter had the military attempt to rescue the
hostages in Iran, but Runny McDickbrain hypocritically
*negotiated* with the Iranian terrorists to get the hostages
back.

Carter served in the military.
Realdumb was a chickenhawk.

You mean the way the Reagan administration traded arms to Iran to get their
proxies in Lebanon to release American hostages, that sort of thing?

Taft *did* get stuck in a bathtub... certainly less
harmful than starting a war. TR was the one that
said 'bully' a lot.... you want a good read, read
about when McKinley passed on and TR was
on top of a mountain... and had to tear ass all
the way down to be President. Sarah Vowell
has the best take... Assasination Vacation is
a super-good book, and she was one of the
Incredibles as well.
