Will do Carl- sounds like you're up toward Lambertville.
Gangs...Trenton. Wow...then again, why not. Time. Glad to hear Yardley
is still nice- I lived in a wonderful little section called Arborlea.
Great old Stucco English Tudor w/ a slate roof set on a couple of acres.
204 Arborlea Ave. Loved that house! I briefly attended H.S. in Fairless
Hills too-- Pensbury. I understand that it split in two. It was a
strange mixture, Levittown and the US Steel Blue Collar crowd collided
w/ Yardley and the sons / daughters of Lawyers, Doctors, Executrons,
etc. Very real early intro to class war USA.
Here's one that might throw you- Deborah Coleman. Her latest CD
is just good, solid toneful blues playing w/ soul.
Popa can flame and that's largely the difference (for whatever reason)
up to this point between the genders (where guitar playing is
concerned). I fully expect that to change too...I was chatting w/ a
beautiful young woman this evening with a fairly freshly minted degree
in Chem Eng. She would have been a COMPLETE anomaly at Penn State in the
late '70's...now? Normal, same w/ the EE's. I wonder what % are entering
the flight training program at Pensacola, FL? Amazing. Change...
I was thinking about the earlier era this eve. An L.A. radio station
(100.3) is playing KILLER great music to attempt to buck the
shit...reminds me so much of old WMMR out of Philly in the early
1970's... mvm :-)
