Nice tools you've got there. I'll bet there isn't an electrician you know
who doesn't have a few of that variety. It's just that usually such things
are reserved to the pro's, not foolish amateurs. I'm thinking the amateurs
are not as smart as the pro's and the survival rate is lower.

AFA the breakers, the house was built in 1956 with FPE breakers. I think
you know these are probably one step away from no breaker at all. Somehow,
buy the grace of God, it tripped.

Grasshopper

When you can bias a quad of 6v6's by touch of the
glass on the glow tubes, it is time for you to go.

No link. I think I bought this a year ago. It's been sitting. I have the
SAMS(included with it, yay!), but it is mostly in pieces now. The SAMS
tells me what I've got in the iron. PT 680VCT 95mA; 5V 2A, 6.3V 1.9A. OT
9K CT w 6K screen taps, 16-8-4 ohm secondary taps.

Rectified B+ through a 5Y3GT was 350V according to the schematic.

It's an interesting schematic. Preamp is a 12AX7 + half a 12AT7 into a
12AT7 CF PI, so each side is feeding into half a 12AU7 Driver. Outputs are
6V6.
