further to my post on bar chords and handcramps

I found taht it's a lot easier to play those bar chords standing up. A lot
less force is required on my electric than the acoustic, and the lump
between my thumb and index finger is finally going away.. Whew.

Robert,

Glad to hear that you've solved your problem. My guess is that your left
arm position was the problem. Is there a local "guitar" group you can join.
You have a lot of questions and problems, many of which would be clearer in
person than over the internet. I know that you believe the cost of a teacher
will be burdensome, so perhaps you should look for a mentor instead. You'll
probably have to supply the beer.

Shhhhh. Don't tell him. He's blind and we're playing
a trick on him. We sent him to Minnie and told
him he was going "Down to the Twin Cities".

Fooled him.

We also taped an "I'm Bob Dylan" sign on his back.

Robert,

You won't know till you try. There are guitar players just about
everywhere. I can't imagine a town so small that it doesn't have music.

I was going to suggest Hell (Michigan, population 266), but then they
probably have all kinds of hellish music there. ;-)

I wonder if they have any churches in Hell?
