Ibanez Artcore AF75
I am interested in studying jazz guitar. I heard that the Ibanez
Artcore AF75 is a very good hollow body for around $400. Anyone have

Yes, the Artcore series are a very good value. I would play a few of
them plugged in before i bought to make sure you get the best one you
can find.

From what I've read, and I think its right, is that the ones without the
trem bar are good. Otherwise, with the tremolo bar, they say you'll have a
lot of tuning issues with it (its a cheap trem bar etc). I've nearly bought
one myself (without trem) on more than one occaision.

I tried one of these the other day. I was trying out a Roland Cube 30
at the time. The AF75 sounded pretty good through the Blackface
channel. 'Sure it would have been even better with a set of flat wound
11's on it. The neck pickup had a good clear tone. Not too dark like a
few jazz guitars I've tried. Great value guitar - I was tempted ;-)
