Takamine F360S

A friend wants to sell his Takamine F360S for $400. It was made in the
1990's so it is not a lawsuit model (something about Martin suing
Takamine because this model mimicked one of Martin's models too
closely). I heard that the lawsuit model was very good but don't know
anything about the more recent F360S. Unfortunately this friend lives a
little too far to just run over and try it out. Any recommendations?
Thanks.

Looking on ebay, that sounds like too much $. There aren't any f360s
models on there, but plenty that are in the ballpark.

The seem to be in the $200-300 range.

That's probably a little high. But you won't
find a more solid built guitar. It may be in
really fabulous shape.

No matter what shape it's in, you could probably
spend that $400 now and never again have to buy
an acoustic guitar, reagardless of your style
or experience level.

Cost is usually the last thing on my list.
I'd pay $400 for a guitar that I liked
better than a $300 guitar.

I'd also pay $400 for a guitar that I
liked better than a $1400 guitar.

My experience with Tak's is that they have
one of the best "bang for the buck" factors
of any guitar, including the M's and T's and
anything else.

And they are less inclined to give you
muscle bound fingers.

Ditto on Takamine. Hard to go wrong - excellent guitars.
