I finally got sick of the spam in this group so went looking for a
solution.

For those who do their newsgroup browsing on the web, and want the
benefits of a killfile, check out this greasemonkey script:

I'm a believer in free speech and don't think much of the censored
forums that some people prefer, but sometimes you just have to shut
some jerks off! I tried this and it works and works well! Very nice
for Google-ites.

Bevan, I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this wonderful link. Now
surfing Google groups is virtually painless. I just spent 10 minutes
destroying the attempts to ruin my day.

You rock, and so does FireFox!
