Yikes!

Just back from my regular big band gig and decided to check out a tune the
bandleader was interested in doing: "it's a duet with a soprano sax, bit
busy. Maybe better with BG rather than EUB..."
It's called 'Is That A Bass (Or Are You Just Glad To See Me)' and is a Tom
Kubis arrangement * tinyurl . com /5m7s8a
I quite like the 'moderate' rating ;)

Apologies for any late replies, my news server (Astranews) seems to be
playing up. For some reason the thread is active on goggle groups but not to
Astra.
Anyway, to 'BW', yes, big touch of Jaco's low farting notes delicately
placed amongst the myriad of high register 16ths I plan to learn some day.
Donna Lee springs to mind. I'm going to learn that too. Some day.

i'd make sure the band intends to do it every outing before i invested
the hours...

That's the main problem, and with a regular audience he chops and changes a
lot so I don't see it happening.
