I feel sorry for Gen Y, I really do...

I am 22 years old thats been playing bass for awhile. I just moved out here
from California and ive never played in bands before although i jammed with
a girl who likes avril lavigne once, and im definitely not the best but id
like to get some experience and meet new people who are laid back and have
an open mind. My influences are linkin park, korn, papa roach, hoobastank,
system, pod, trapt and various hard and alternative stuff. I am open to
playing almost anything though. If anyone is open and laid back, pop an
email.

I'm really, really hoping that he started playing bass at age 21. And that
DeVry doesn't have an essay question on the entrance exam...

Some of us do seem to age faster than others.

Starting to?

Guess I wasn't aware that periods and commas and sentences that have a point
all went the way of flannel shirts and Crystal Pepsi..

Now I'm going to have nightmares. Damn you!

But just so I don't have sleepless nights alone, here's a story I
posted some time ago but is worth repeating. The short version:

I went to a chain drug store, pulled a bottle of aspirin off the shelf
where it was marked (on the shelf sign) $5.49. Cashier rings it up and
it is in the computer at $6.49. I say, "Hold on, it's $5.49 on the
shelf." He checks it out, and I'm correct. He calls over the twenty-
something manager to override the price. She comes over, the cashier
tells her, "This price is one dollar too high. She puts her key in the
register, and.... (sit down)... then yells across the store... (are
you sitting?)... "Hey Joe, how much is $6.49 minus a dollar."

We're all doomed.

Walgreens, by any chance? They told a friend of mine his doctor
wouldn't approve a generic for a couple of his meds (his doctor says
he was never contacted about this), repeatedly failed to have his meds
ready for pickup when promised, consistently overcharged. He no
longer uses that pharmacy.

Nope. A chain that is no longer in business - it died a merciful death
only a year or two ago. That's the silver lining.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he meant he had a pro
