#1) Took 5 days to ask his wife if he could come to practice on a particular
night. By the time he called back, it was two days before the prospective
practice night and everyone else had already made other plans. He said 3-5
day response time would be typical for him.
#2) Couldn't play his way out of a paper bag. Said he needed two weeks to
"perfect" a medium tempo blues tune. And shuffles? Fugettaboutit. Goodbye.
#3) Three days before first audition, decided he didn't want to play drums -
he wanted to be a singer.
#4) Spectacular drummer, but vanishes mysteriously. That won't go well for
him in a small town where everyone knows everyone.
