According to Analogman, the only way to reliably date old MXR pedals
is through the pot codes:

* analogman . com /faq.htm#dating

* analogman . com /fakemxr.htm

Where's the serial number? I've had one since about 1980, and it wasn't
new when I bought it. I don't see a serial number anywhere on it.
