Boss Fender Amp Pedals

Does anyone know if the Boss Deluxe Reverb and Bassman pedals are
worthwhile? I just noticed them on the Boss site last night and they
look like they'd be pretty cool to have. I'm using an Epi Valve Jr,
the Deluxe especially is one of my dream amps that I have neither the
money to buy nor the space to use it without offending neighbors.
Thanks.

I saw the review of these in Guitarist Magazine as regards new items
at the NAMM show. I had a Twin Reverb in the 70's and it was a great
sound, but as you say they are pretty expensive for a good one, plus
they are soooo heavy to carry about and now probably unreliable as
well.
I am going to have a look at these pedals and try one out when I can
find one in stock locally. It's the start of a new series of "Classic
Equipment" pedals - they are doing a Bassman pedal as well..... I
think the best thing is that all you need is a really clean crisp
(probably transistor/solid state) amp then let the pedal do its stuff.
I know it's not the real thing, but at the worst you can move the
pedal on to someone else and only drop a few pounds on the deal.
