Effects boxes - What into What?

Effects boxes - What into What?

What is the best order to place effects? I currently have:

Chorus>Distortion>Flanger>Phaser>Delay--->Amp
CE-3 HM-2 BF-2 PH-1R DD-2

Would a Wah-wah be best suited at the input or output of the effects?

How about a RC-2 loop station -
loop the effects or loop clean into the effects?

I'm sure you all are aware of this site that shows setups to many
guitarists: * guitargeek . com /browse/artists/all/
but I can't find the answer to my inquiries.

Thanks for any and all suggestions -

Jeez, you actually *use* a HM-2??? More power to you.

Wah first.. Any envelope pedal first...

I had that Chorus... It actually sounds better *before* distortion for
some reason, then Distortion, then Phase/Flange (I doubt you'll have them
on at the same time, so it doesn't matter) then Delay.

I don't know what a Loop Station is...

You'll hear a million opinions.... but, if I was in some contest and had
to set up a pedalboard fast, that's what I'd go with.

Here's an early pedal board..

My preferred formula is Wah, modulation, compressor, distortion then
delay. Modualtion is flange, phase, chorus and univibe. Modulation
order depends on what lays out convenient on the top tier of my board
because I rarely use two at the same time. For distortion, fuzz and
boost in general I prefer: fuzz -> op-amp distortion -> treble
booster.

So as an example my board goes: Wah, univibe, phaser, chorus,
compressor, fuzz, keeley rat, treble booster, delay.

YMMV, and mine just works for me (for now :).

In the 80s I did it all wrong I think, it was wah, ts-9, fl-9, cs-9,
ad-9
shoulda been wah fl9 cs9 ts9 ad9... Mighta been why I was never
impressed with the FL-9 and let it go cheap pre-hype days...
