Rocktron Voodu Valve: feedback problem

Hi,

I have a little trouble with my Rocktron Voodu Valve. Whenever I play at
loud volume, it produces a really annoying feedback when I'm not
playing. It has somewhat the same characteristics as a regular
feedback, but this one's less high-pitched.
The typical case is when I'm playing a rhythm and suddenly mute the
strings with the palm of my hand. And suddenly, this feedback is starting.
The higher the gain is, the more sensitive is the problem. Of course, I
can try to set the Hush to the max but I lose the sustain and dynamic of
the sound by doing this.
This problem is so boring that I hope you may help me.
Thanx per advance!

Sounds like the tube is microphonic. This happens to preamp tubes like
the 12AX7 after a while (sometimes even new ones have this due to crap
manufacturing QC). Just replace it.
