What to replace a mult effects box with

What to replace a mult effects box with

got a Digitech GNX3 and I am considering replacing it with several
pedals. So, if you were in this situation, what pedals would you persue?

I have a crybaby wah that is on the shelf unused so that is a start,
along with a Boss RA-20 loop station. What else would you go after?

Going to feed a mid 70's Super Reverb amp.

I'm in the same boat as you (I'm getting rid of a ME-50). I would go
with a delay pedal, a chorus pedal, and maybe an EQ pedal (That's my
plan at least). I'm seriously considering the new Digitech Cf-7 Chorus
Factory, the Digitech X Series DigiDelay, and Boss GE-7. These Digitech
units (on paper and their web clips) seem to be a bit better than their
Boss counterparts. I also plan to check out the Visual Sound H2O pedal
this week-end. Some type of distortion or overdrive unit might be a
consideration for you as well (I'm running through a Rivera Fandango 55
combo so I have the overdrive/distortion stuff covered). Good luck!

Me too - dumping my Line 6 PodXT Live. Looking to pick up a chorus, a
phase shifter, Morley Wah/Volume pedal, a Q-filter, a solid state echo,
and a tape echo...probably the Fulltone TTE, seeing as it's about the
only modern game in town. I have a vintage MXR flanger.

I like the MXR and Electro Harmonix stuff - MXR for the size ofhte
boxes, EH for the sounds...so far. I'll be demo-ing and choosing in the
near future as I can grab them. I'll also chain in some sort of
reverb...my V3 head doesn't have a tank built in.

I got rid of a Roland GP-8 and added to the chain:
- Compressor
- Overdrive
- Fuzz
- Tremolo
- Phaser
- Delay

Why the EQ pedal? They can make a lot of unwanted noise. Replaced it by
a good booster.

A good EQ pedal shouldn't "make" noise. Any EQ pedal will boost
existing noise if you use it wrong. Here's a good one:
http :// www .bosscorp.co.jp/products/en/EQ-20/

Why is it "good?" Residual noise level is -100 dBu or lower, all
sliders maxed out!

Might put a distortion between two EQ's.

It seems to me an EQ is essential for matching differences between home and
giging, different rooms, etc...
