Any way to fix faulty switch on TS-7 Tone Lok?

I picked up a used TS-7 several months ago, and it's been working
great. I now find that stepping on the pedal often won't switch the
box on and off. If you open the battery compartment, the switch itself
seems to work, but not with the pedal closed. I had an issue with
another pedal I had where the contact wasn't quite long enough to
reach the switch, but this one was working fine, and the contact is
metal, so it hasn't changed/moved at all. The switch itself is seated
solidly and hasn't moved either. I've noticed people saying that the
switch on these models is an issue... Is there anything I can do to
fix it? Thanks.

Buy some good contact cleaner before you start going in there with tools...
NO guitar players house should be without a can of that.... I have the
Delay Pedal (same series), So far, no problem with the switch
