Are there ANY Worthwhile Multi Effects Units?

I haven't used one in a decade, but may have a need for one now ?

Why not just do a POD and be done?

I really like my old Boss ME-30. I have two of them actually. Not
digital sounding at all and the distortion is analog.

They're all worthwhile...in their own way. Each has its pros & cons,
you just have to pick the one that gives you what you need. I don't
care for flangers, ring modulators, fuzz modelers, etc...so why would
I use one that's good in those areas but lacking in credible
overdrives/distortions, harmonizer, NR, and delays (which is what I
want)?

I'm happy with my PODxt Live. The only thing it doesn't have that I have
used in the past is a is a harmonizer. I found an old VG-8EX and I'm using
it to build various instruments including 12-strings. Playing them through
the POD gets really usable tones.

Build 12 string out of a 6 string? Works ok? Don't remember which, but
only one or two other I've herd of does it resonable.

I'm really happy with it. The acoustics, Strats, Teles, Ricks, LPs,
Semi-hollows, dobros, 12-strings... yeah, they sound great. If you want more
synthesized sounds then consider a newer model. I think the G20 is getting
good reviews. You should be able to find mp3 samples at Roland...

You can make use of the "bender" effect for harmonizing.
