BY FENDER CUSTOM SHOP MASTER LUTHIER CHRIS FLEMMING. THIS ONE-OF-A-

AND IS MARKED "FLEMMING" ON THE HEADSTOCK. THERE ARE NO SERIAL NUMBERS,
BUT IT CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY MR. FLEMMING HIMSELF, WHO STILL WORKS AS
A MASTER CRAFTSMAN FOR THE FENDER CUSTOM SHOP.

I'll start by apologizing for the largest cross post I've ever
done. However, I feel the importance of the situation calls for
such action!
About a week ago (Approx. 02/21/07) someone who has been active
in many of the listed newsgroups in the past, had his family home
burglarized.
As I am taking it upon myself to make this report. He will remain
nameless at this point. (Unless he chooses to come forward
as time might allow later.) At this point, he has his hands full with
police reports; repairing the kicked-down front door of his home,
and new home security measures.
Several string music instruments; family jewelry, and other items were
stolen. Some worth more than others, and some not replaceable. But there
is one very special instrument that will be very identifiable, and at
this point, that is considered key to investigating. It is also an item
that is nearly irreplaceable.

Some people may be able to guess who the victims were, by their
association and proximity to/with me, but I would greatly appreciate no
public speculation, as I have not cleared this public announcement with
our victimized associate.
I may be letting myself in for a bombing of good and/or bad email in
doing this, but so be it. Please don't take a lot of my time with idle
chit-chat, but if ANYONE BECOMES AWARE OF THE WHEREABOUTS OF THIS
SPECIAL GUITAR, IT MIGHT LEAD TO THE RECOVERY OF OTHER VALUABLE
PROPERTY. PLEASE EITHER CONTACT ME AT THE REAL EMAIL ADDRESS USED FOR
THIS POST, OR CONTACT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA!!!
I THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, AND ANY HELP YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE
IN THIS MATTER, AND I AM VERY CERTAIN THAT THE OWNER OF THE STOLEN
PROPERTY WOULD BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL FOR ANY ASSISTANCE. I WILL LET THEM
KNOW OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT I'VE MADE, AND SEE IF THEY WISH TO PUBLISH
FURTHER DETAILS IN PUBLIC.
SINCERELY,
JOHN KING

John,
Thanks so much for your help. The written word
cannot express my gratitude.
As for guitars, I lost a half dozen -- none of any
real *monetary* value other than the Fleming.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to find any clear,
detailed photos of the Fleming, but am still looking.
I've contacted Chris and he is looking as well, but
this guitar was built in the early 90s, before he joined
Fender, and digital cameras were not the norm. He's not
sure if he took any photos during the build process.
The Fleming is Koa, has Sperzel lockers, tune-o-matic/stop,
dogear P90s (Fralin), ebony board, missing pickguard and
control cavity cover. The hardware is gold, the tune-o-matic
is ABR-1. The pickguard is/was 50s style nitro tortoise shell.
It outgassed and was removed. The nitro finish on the guitar
clearly shows the outline of the pickguard -- which I have.
As it happens, the jackasses took the guitar but not its case.
It may be pretty banged up at this point.
Monetary value notwithstanding, three of the remaining 5 stolen
guitars had a great deal of, dare I say, sentimental value.
I know, I know, cry me a river...
DGDevin suggested that a case number would be helpful.
Here ya go:
