Zoom 9002 replacment battery

Had dusted off my old 9002 but the battery isn't holding a charge. Any
recommendations for an affordable replacement?

I'm in the same position, my battery died years ago. You could try ebay and
there maybe a suitable replacement, so try your local electronic hobby
store. I generally use the adapter that came with mine so I can't be of much
more help I'm afraid.

I think he's talking the internal battery that holds memory.

When I didn't find a direct solder in replacement for my Zoom 9000, I
rigged up a battery without the solder tabs, using a tape and a paper
clip, IIRC, then soldered leads to the board. Last I checked, it was
still working.

I guess I was wrong. But be aware that there is an internal button
battery that holds memory when the other batteries are dead, or when a
wallwart is not in use. ...and I couldn't find a correct replacement,
so I scabbed together a fix that seems to be working.

Thanks. When I realized the rechargeable battery wasn't holding a charge any
more I figured it was toast. I think those things have a limited shelf life
anyway.

I have the adapter and can plug in using that so it's not hopeless, but the
battery makes it a little easier getting around. Thanks.

Try that again! A quick Google came up with this site:

* w w w .e-lectronics . net /battery-zoom-9002-battery-replace-bt0001-p-28.html

Could well be worth a look!

Thanks for the link Andy, that's want I was looking for. Looks like the
replacement has a higher capacity charge so it will last longer than the
original.
