Help beginner with effect settings

Ok, this may be a stretch, but I am going to ask anyway. I am sure
there are some good guitar players out their that can guess these
effects by ear.

I just bought a Digitech RP250 guitar pedal. I really want to find
the settings to match the sound being played by this guitar
* w w w .youtube . com /watch?v=QjA5faZF1A8

I am a total beginner of electric guitars, and there are so many
effects that i have no clue what each do. But if anyone has any idea
on what this song is set at like, some gain, little bit or reverb
decay, some chorus, etc, then I would be so grateful.

Thanks,
-SJ

I can't see the video now because I'm at work, but the key in effect
is to put about 1-25% of it max, not more else you go the cheesy way.
IMHO :)

The only effect I hear in this clip is overdrive or distortion, except
a slight bit of delay, which is only audible at one point where there's
a break in the backing track. The delay isn't very important to his
sound. If there is anything else, it is low in the mix and is drowned
out by the backing track or obscured by the crappy sound quality.
Everything else you may be attributing to an effect is done by his
clean and precise technique.

wow. thanks for the reply. I will try your suggestions. Just seems
like he gets such a cleaner sound and like an echo. Maybe that is the
backing track. IN any case. thanks again for your replies.
