Heh - not bad. I don't have a problem with too many pedals - I rather enjoy
them :P
Ahh...that, my friend, is an old DOD Compressor/280, serial 2810009.
Unfortunately, it's in very sad shape. It's beat to hell and dirty, one of
the knobs is actually broken but still functional, the pots and jacks are
loose, and the pots and connections need cleaning. It does work, though it's
scratchy and pops badly, probably from the dirty pots and/or connections. I
think someone worked on it, that would explain why the pots are loose and
the back cover is held in place with one screw. So I looked inside, and I
don't see anything out of the ordinary. This is actually a very simple
circuit, and somewhat unique in it takes feedback from the final output and
couples it through an optoisolater to the input. Dang, I could build one of
these from the stuff I have in my junk pile. I'm going to replace the
electrolytics and clean everything and see if works OK. I may have to
replace the pots to really get it to smooth out.
