Let us consider the OP, for some mild comical relief.
He feels he must pass, even though he will be turning off shortly.
That seem more an emotional decision than a rational one.
Then, in an ironic twist, characterizes the other driver as "one of
the worst" because they don't like someone to their front going
slower. Not much rationality trying to bust out there.
Should we believe the OP was not tailgating before he passed the SUV,
and the SUV driver likewise retaliated? Or was it just because they
don't like it if "someone is going slower or faster" than they?
The accuracy of the account, boring as it is, is highly suspect, but
even as described it reflects nothing smart about the OP, his
decisions or conclusions.
