State moves to ban fake testicles on vehicles

* w w w .reuters . com /article/newsOne/idUSN4O32105020080425

TALLAHASSEE, Florida (Reuters) - Senate lawmakers in Florida have voted
to ban the fake bull testicles that dangle from the trailer hitches of
many trucks and cars throughout the state.

Republican Sen. Cary Baker, a gun shop owner from Eustis, Florida,
called the adornments offensive and proposed the ban. Motorists would be
fined $60 for displaying the novelty items, which are known by brand
names like "Truck Nutz" and resemble the south end of a bull moving
north.

The Florida Senate voted last week to add the measure to a broader
transportation bill, but it is not included in the House version.

In a spirited debate laced with double entendre, Senate lawmakers
questioned whether the state should curtail freedom of expression in
vehicle accessories.

Critics of the ban included the Senate Rules Chairman, Sen. Jim King, a
Jacksonville Republican whose truck sported a pair until his wife
protested.

The bill's sponsor doubted it would succeed.

"It's probably not going to make it through the process," Baker said on
Thursday. "It won't be much of story in a few days."

I'm sure glad they have all the other serious problems (like truck
parking) solved in Florida.

I think all the need to do is create some "headlights" for we women to
put on our cars, and then the point will be made.

I believe that Cadillac already did that, back in the 50's.

I do agree that they are kind of, well, silly, but won't a ban on them also
look about as silly as the blanket bans on students carrying radio pagers in
schools looks now?

Naturally.

They pass crap like this because they're too ignorant to realize that they
have other, more important, things to do.

> Republican Sen. Cary Baker, a gun shop owner from Eustis, Florida,

Nah, what I find offensive is all the spammers and scammers that operate out
of South Florida, particularly the Boca Raton area. But since Florida's done
little, if anything, about those assholes, I don't hold forth much hope that
anything *will* be done. Instead they are trying to pass a law that apparently
is meant to prevent a large number of senior citizens from being offended by
bull testicles.

I am *so* glad I don't live in Florida.

I hope not.

Guess they ran out of wacky stop light configurations to set up and
manatees to teach how to drive in Florida.

What's next? Spitting on the sidewalk ordinances? Voting for the state
mineral like they did in Missouri?

What a waste of time.

Take care,
Rich

Even though he's dead it makes about much sense

going change his position on anything.

All this started over one photo showing a squirrel with faked,
"balls". Caption reading, "Who you callin' Tiny?".

If it's illegal to show the male genitals, then the "balls" must be
included as they are part of those genitals.

Correct wording should be "scrotum" but "balls" says it more proper.

Scrotum...testicles...testes...gonads...genitals...balls...nuts...same
parts. Parts is parts. Guess live shots of boars (hogs) is out of
the question.

Sometimes you feel like a nut....

"Working," eh...OK, won't take that typo to its easy conclusion.

Also, testes is a correct wording as well.
