Pressure Relief Valve

I have a 2003 PT Cruiser. Recently, while stopped for gas, I heard a loud
hiss under the front of my PT and saw a cloud of steam shoot out near the
front. I opened the hood and checked for a hose leak and checked the water
level and all seemed well. Does the PT have a pressure relief valve?

Make sure your coolant recovery hose is attached to the overflow tank.

It's normal for the pressure in the radiator to relieve when the rengine is
stopped and the heat soak cycle starts but it shouldn't be visible, it
should be conatained.
