INDIA
by Georges Khoury

I traveled to India from April 13 to April 18, 2006 and it was Wild
Discovery who organized my trip.

The trip started in Delhi where I visited the Jama Masjid, Qutb Minar,
Red Fort, India Gate, Rajghat and Birla Temple.

The hotel in New Delhi, The Claridges, was very luxurious and both
food and service were excellent.

I bought some pacheminas and scarves from Delhi.

Then, I went by car to Jaipur with a stop in a charming 15th century
hotel, Neemrana Fort Hotel.

In Jaipur, I visited the Amber Fort, passed by the Lake Palace; I also
went to the Hawa Mahal, the City Palace (Maharaja Palace) and Jantar
Mantar (Observatory).
I bought some of the famous blue pottery of Jaipur and some nice bed
sheets. I also visited jewelry shops.

Afterwards I went to Agra by car; on the road, I visited Fatihpur
Sikri. The next day, I visited the Taj Mahal, Sikandra, Itmad-ud-
Daulah (Baby Taj) and the Agra Fort.
In Agra, I visited a marble inlaying and carpet weaving workshops.
The Jaypee Palace hotel in Agra was fantastic, the food and music were
lovely and the surrounding gardens ideal for long walks.

Wild Discovery did a great job in planning this trip and making sure I
was taken care of at all times.
