Battery terminal covers needed

I need a set of OEM Ford battery terminal covers for my 1997 GT.

The new ones I ordered from the local Ford dealer do not have the raised (+) and (-) symbols.

They would work, but I want the original style.

I know: Picky, picky. I want to keep her 100% original.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks!

Following up on my own message, I was able to get new battery terminal
covers through the parts department at my local Ford dealer.

The positive cover is Ford P/N XF12-14277-AA (sometimes seen as
XF12.14277.AA, XF12 14277 AA or XF1214277AA). The negative cover is P/N
F75Z-14277-BA (F75Z.14277.BA, F75Z 14277 BA or F75Z14277BA).

The only difference between the new covers and the original covers is
that the new positive cover has a raised (+) symbol like the original
but the symbol is not painted red. From what I have seen of the 1997
model year Mustang GTs, the negative cover had a (-) symbol but it was
all black and unpainted.

Painting the (+) symbol red would be an easy job with a small brush and
a bottle of Testors Red 1/4 oz. enamel paint ($1.64 plus tax) from the
hardware store.

The set of new terminal covers was $11.94 with tax.
