You never do any preventative maintenance?

Here in phoenix, I'd rather spend $60 a year early, then have the joy
of walking several miles in 115 degree heat or waiting an hour for
help to arrive.

of course! but that doesn't include buying batteries twice as often as
necessary. lead and sulfuric acid are noxious - loading the environment
twice as often as necessary, quite apart from the cost of course, is not
exactly a good thing.

which may well be the case. but the op doesn't have that problem - he's
in iowa.

fyi - there's something munged in your newsreader - it keeps posting as
new messages, with an outrageously appended subject header.

They are recycled. What the fuck do you do, put them in the trash?
Do you do the same with engine oil?

Replacing a battery when it has less than 5% of it's life left isn't twice
as often. Did you also flunk math?

so you can recycle without expenditure of any resources? wow - you're
really onto something!

actually, no. that's one of the reasons why i know that "less than 5%
of it's life left" is a bullshit arbitrary number you pulled out of thin
air.

Re: Re: When should I change the battery?

I live in Phoenix also. I changed the battery when my '04 was 4 years old
in january. I bought a battery from Costco for about $60. 3 year free
replacement.
