1992 accord spark plug holes

Our 1992 Honda Accord has the spark plug holes on the valve cover
labeled "2, 3, 4, 5." Why are they not lavbeled 1,2,3,4,? Doesa this
mean someone switched the valve cover from another car? We bought it
used. Thank you. Actually what car would say 2-5 anyway?

Somebody was probably being silly. Are these labels just stickers, or are
they actually cast into the valve cover?

The #1 plug is the one closest to the timing belt end (driver's side in
North America).

if he's got the cover off and is looking at the cam bearings, they are
indeed labeled 1-5.

They are indeed. And if you've got a DOHC, they're I1 to I5, and E1 to E5.
