Memory on my jeep?

Hey guys,

I got a 2002 JGC that I bought new. I set the stations, seat position
and the rest and programmed it into memory position 1.
About a couple of years ago I changed the station settings and put new
ones in, and had slightly modified the seat and mirror positions
earlier.
Last month, my battery died and after replacing, the only thing
missing was the CD memory where it defaulted back to CD1 track1.
Yesterday, I parked and took the key out. As I opened the door, I
heard a little buzz like I pushed one the seat buttons by mistake.. I
didn't think of it much. When I came back and turned it on, all the
stations were set back to the old settings from 2 years ago, the seat
and mirrors were also reset to the earlier positions.
This can only mean that there is something that remembered those
settings and for some odd reason, got zapped and reset itself. So the
question is, is there something that memorizes those things? Something
that can record other driving related info, maybe <gasp>.... a black
box???
