i feel like a real jackass saying this but it might of just been out
of gas the whole time. i put a gallon in it today and its been
running fine. i think when i did this before i just looked past the
fact that it would take time to pump the new gas up the fuel line, so
when i cranked and nothing happened i just assumed it was still not
working. ha, anyways, i still cant believe that was the problem and
still have a nasty feeling its gonna happen again, but until then....
i looked closer at the pcv going from the breather to the air filter
but didnt see any oil, whether car was running or not. i also noticed
a little white or maybe grey smoke from the exhuast. i believe it
stopped but might be relevant. i am not sure what you mean by
rattling the front of the pcv valve. are we talking about the same
hose as the breather or a different one, if so where, and even if you
do mean the same one, where should it rattle? i also am not sure
where the gas tank vent is either, so i have not yet checked the
filter. ive been looking for a diagram to find it but havent had any
luck yet.
