In the works of making a cargo carrier for the rear 2" receiver.
Shooting up from the receiver in the bumper to 45 degrees for a foot
and a half, to avoid scraping on road surfaces, i.e., nasty decline
coming out of gas station or to the trail/camp. Of course the
"basket" is in the works but thinking of using BBQ mesh (thick kind),
for bottom, and some 3/4" by 1/2" tube for outside including the upper
supports.
Just finished making a 4 fishing pole holder that fits in place of my
front license plate brackett directly in the 2" front receiver. Works
great for 4 poles minus 1 pole with fishing net for driving or
fishing. :)
Finished up on some tang welding for my 5 gallon blitz tank on the
outside of my upper cargo carrier. (garvin) Rattled to much. Didn't
want to spend the money for the gravin can holders.
For now, if I do anymore, I will probably have to live in my jeep.
Least my wife thinks so. I guess that probably wouldn't be too much
torture. I live in the jeep on the weekends, just trying making it
roomier (is that a word?). :)
Take care and cheers,
Oh yeah, this is on a 05 rubicon. My Dad is the welder. I just turn
bolts. :)
