Ford Disses ChampCar

This guy has a lot of nerve. International series? lol. Way off the
mark. On the other hand - anti-American series? Right on the mark.

From AutoWeek: " "If I had wanted to back an international series," says
Ford Racing director Dan Davis, "it wouldn't have been Champ Car."

Complete article:

"The remainder of 2007 is familiar, with several exceptions: Monterrey,
Milwaukee (yes, Champ Car's last oval) and Montreal are gone, though the
Montreal race will be replaced by a July 1 event at nearby Mont-Tremblant.

A race at Zhuhai, China, is scheduled for May 20, and there are two races in
Europe that could still join the mid-season schedule. That would put eight
of Champ Car's 17 races outside of the United States, which is drawing mixed
reactions. "If I had wanted to back an international series," says Ford
Racing director Dan Davis, "it wouldn't have been Champ Car."

Well I not sure where you get the anti-American from that article. Was Dan
Davis just beamed to planet earth recently? Champ Car has been racing in
Canada, Mexico, and Australia for many years now. So how does he think that
adding a race in China only now makes Champ Car an international series. Is
he a complete idiot?

I doubt it an I can't believe this that I might be agreeing with Von.
Granted I haven't read the entire article, but it may not be the locations
that are bothering him so much. It could be the new rules package he has a
problem with and frankly I would have hoped that they would have run most of
those decisions by Ford before annoucing the package. Maybe they didn't.
