ATLANTIC: Hinchcliffe Lands Sierra Sierra DriveI like Hinch. He's a damn good racer with quite a bit of potential,
although a little green yet. Another season in Atlantics will do him
good, especially with a teammate like Matos.

Sierra Sierra Enterprises has signed James Hinchcliffe to complete its
two-car effort for the 2007 Champ Car Atlantic season. The Canadian will
team up with Brazilian Raphael Matos, who was confirmed by the team back
in September.
“After getting in touch with this team, it was clear how badly we wanted
to work with one another, and we did everything we had to do to get the
deal done” Hinchcliffe revealed. “I can't wait for [the] Vegas [season
opener] and I seriously expect to see some great results throughout the
year.”
Hinchcliffe finished 10th in points in his rookie Atlantic season last
year, taking one win as part of Forsythe’s four-car operation. He was
third in Star Mazda points in ’05, when Matos took that series’ title.
Most recently, he was part of Team Canada’s A1 Grand Prix squad.
Sierra Sierra ran a single car for Matos in ’06, and team officials
believe the expansion will increase their competitiveness.
“The ‘07 season is shaping up to be even more competitive than last
year. This decision puts us in the best possible strategic position,”
said team manager Richard Raeder.
