Half Empty or Half Full?

Well rounded article IMO. Although I shudder to think of the
ramifications of introducing balanced viewpoints into the group...

Let me just stop after reading the first paragraph and ask this: If there
are 25 cars on order and everyone has a backup car, does that mean we'll
have 12.5 cars on the starting grid?

Or do I remember hearing a few teams will run the old cars?

Lemme think a moment. 2 car teams will likely have 1 spare. That would
make for a reasonable approximation for 2/3 of the total order being on
the grid. So, from 25 cars ordered so far that would equate to roughly
16 on the grid. Out of 35 that will be built by the start of the season
that could roughly mean 22-24-ish.

These are only orders so far. There are teams that have yet to put in
orders.

No. Old cars can be used during some pre-season rookie testing, but
that's it. They will not compete.

It is both. It is half empty of fans and sponsors and half full of really
wealthy guys who are paying for the sport. It is sort of like polo without
the grace.

Yeah, those IRL guys really need to do something about their situation.
