The start of the NAScrap season

Ugh...

Why did Indy have to job to NAScrap? I remember when the Indy 500 was
the Superbowl of Racing now it's Daytona. It's sad to see how greed has
turned the once great Indy 500 race into the race of jobbers.

NASCAR hasn't been "stock" car racing for many, many years.

Yeah, I was wondering when Ford & Chevy had added restrictor plates to
their automotive lines...

How 'bout carburetors?

Don't get me wrong, I think carbs are cool...but when was the last
production car that had one?

Have you gotten this far in life without learning that things change over
time? Nothing in the popular culture and sports world is the same as it was
twenty years ago. Not one single thing.

How true, Nascrap ratings have fallen for all tracks except three. Overall
they fell 10% for NBC, 5% for TNT and 6.5% on Fox. Only half the races
sold out last year and 12 others decreased.

Sounds like they aren't giving American fans what American fans want.

They need a dozen more women and third-generation drivers.

And there's too many damn foreigners.

And there are too many road races. Americans don't like road racing.

And the finishes aren't close enough.

there are 2 road races.

when tracks seat over 100,00- but don't quite sell out, big deal.

Really? The mega bands still touring in stadium sized venues are the
same ones from 20-30 years ago. What else are you wrong about?

Indy 500 means jack and squat anymore. The Brickyard 400 does better
than Indy now. Just look at the ratings they are horrible. In a couple
years the Indy 500 will be on cable tv. The ratings are so bad. Daytona
is the Super Bowl of Motorsports now.

NASCAR is easier to sell to the Bufords of America than Indy ever has
been.

Um, maybe because US pointy car racing sucks right now because of "the
split"?
