We need a RM fan club. Perhaps in conjuction w/Steve Matchett's. I'm
the first one in to contribute if someone starts one. I can see
hundreds at people at Indy in May and June with 'Got Miller'?
T-Shirts!!

Why would any self-respecting Robin Miller fan go to Indy?

Because he's a reporter.

Yes, he is. And he reports because there are people interested in it.

IMHO, true Robin Miller fans would want to see an event that Robin
considers to be worth reporting on.

He reports on Indy the same way that reporters cover other disasters.

A very telling piece. This guys hangs around the fringes of auto racing
just enough to get some people to trust him and give him some confidential
information. Then he abuses that trust to write some kiss and tell stories
and acts all hurt when he repeatedly gets fired.

The reason that he has been the only full time open wheel journalist for the
past thirty years is that it is not really a full time job to start with
outside of Indianapolis.

I have a clue for Mr. Miller that may help him hold on to a job in the
future. Nobody cares about the 25/8 arrangement that happened so long ago.
Nobody.

I do not think he appreciates the irony in being asked to emcee the Last Row
Party. He represents the absolute last row in sports journalism.

When did Miller publish confidential information that the *source*
didn't want published? I understand that the *subject* of an
unflattering story wouldn't want it published, and might try to punish
Miller, but that's a different thing.

For example, whether Steve Johnson works one day a month or thirty
days may be debatable, but it's hardly confidential, and either way I
doubt Miller got the information from Johnson.

Most people can't handle the truth. Most people don't like it when one
individual continually tells the truth.

"Shut that guy up... he's making us look bad..."

CC should have come out with a rebuttal after RM's article: "Y'know,
unfortunately, things aren't going as well as we'd like them to, but
we are making strides toward solving these issues." Or something to
that effect. CC would have come out a winner if they did that.

What most people don't seem to understand is that RM loves OWR and
wants to see it do well and prosper.

In this climate of ridiculous "PC-ness" I applaud RM for taking a
stand for what he believes in and not toeing the line just to collect
a check.
