Barriers and fences up in Las Vegas

You drive down Main Street and it looks like you are on the inside of a
racing track. Very cool effect.

Main Street in Las Vegas? That doesn't really go anywhere.

Do you mean Las Vegas Blvd (the strip)? Maybe Freemont Street (can't
really drive down the interesting stretch of Freemont Street)?

They help to keep the cars separate from the spectators.

I'm not particularly a fan of the IRL. Never will be even if the rest
of racing continues to go down the tubes.

But related to this thread, I'm a little surprised that anyone would be
setting up a street course so far ahead of a race.
