Graham Rahall signed and new sponsor announced

Well, the worst kept secret is that Graham Rahall has signed with Newman
Hass
racing.

We all know this was coming..but, it nice to see it confirmed....

USA today reported this yesterday:

http :// www .usatoday,com /sports/motor...am-rahal_N.htm

A interesting quote from the above:

Quote:
Graham Rahal had said racing for his father's team in the rival
IndyCar Series was not an option since Bobby won't let his son race on
ovals, tracks that dominate the IndyCar schedule.

Today, the sponsor was announced:

As usually, the DP01 looks gorgeous in just about any paint/color scheme.
Here is a rendition of Graham's car

Looks ok, much better than the usual red/white we've seen the last couple
of years. I don't care for the large gaps in the body panels though...

They don't show up too much.....

With darker colors, such as the Red Bull car.,it not bad:

And, team Australia...they used black highlights...so, you
can't see the change in body work at all

It really depends on the paint job...

Kash Kows pockets are pretty deep.

So this makes thirteen drivers for Vegas?

And I thought you were an IRL fan. Maybe its is beginning to look
like that Champ Car will turn a wheel in 2007 as someone predicted
would never happen.

Speaks volumes doesn't it? Maybe Michael Schumacher, Seabass and
others are much smarter than others here give them credit for.

I don't care for GH's paint scheme, but at least it's not as bad as the
Renault in F1!

Great to see it confirmed! I know who my favorite driver will be.
However, I must admit that the livery for his car looks rather fugly IMHO.

Can't help but root for him. Hopefully he can challenge Bordias in time.

Terrible!

Minor note: Newman Haas Racing is no more. It's now "Newman/Haas/Lannigan",
as Mr. Mi-Jack, Mike Lannigan is now a partner who I expect will take over
the team soon as soon as next season. Unfortunately, Carl and Paul are not
getting any younger.

That's a pretty good looking grid. Better than I thought it would look. Only
the last five cars are incapable of winning, IMO.... if N/H/L doesn't
dominate again.

It is going to be ok. While 17 cars is not as many I wanted, it certainly as
good as the previous few years.

As for that last 5 cars being incapable of winning?

Well, actually PKV, and Neal Jani was really fast during spring training...
(Neel was 3rd fastest...that really impressive).

I expect to see Neel on the podium in his first year of racing....a win is
even possible...

Funny how forcing PKV to get new cars and equipment is good for the
drivers!!!

So, win the series..sure, I have to agree with you. It going to be Sebasss,
Justin.......

But, after Sebass and Justin??? I have NO clues who going to show everyone
one up!!

(graham is just too new to the cars, and it will take GR 8-10 races to
really get going).

So, next in line..hum..Always Tracy. and, then there is Team Minardi...

So, will not write off those Red Bull drivers as not being completive just
yet...

> #11 Neel Jani (CZE) Red Bull Red Bull PKV Racing
> #12 Tristan Gommendy (FRA) PKV Racing

and, those Red Bull cars look drop dead gorgeous....

I was writing off PCM, not Red Bull, for winning a race this year. And now
that Matt signed with Conquest, there are really only four cars without a
chance to win races, IMO.
