"Alternative band Yellowcard plays after the race tonight, while on
Saturday, the American Le Mans series targeted a "wine and cheese"
crowd with its expensive sports cars, said grand prix general manager
Tim Ramsberger.

Then there's a Ferris wheel and games for young children.

"I describe it as a three-day family festival with a race going on,"
said Mayor Rick Baker."

An urban festival with a race - what a brilliant innovation! Tony George
is a genius!

But...I thought it was all about the racing?

Ripping ideas from CC isn't going to save the IRL, or whatever they call it
now..

The IRL was never about racing. Its all about Tony George.

The "street festival" comment proves that the IRL is following the OWRS
business plan but without the talent or experience. The IRL is light
years behind OWRS.

The guy writing this obviously has some kind of an agenda. I just
posted an article
here a few days ago saying all was peachy and rosy in St. Pete.

It was and is. This IRL race event was such a great success that it
will eclipse all other races on the planet held this decade. There were
more TV viewers than all the F1 and NASCAR races combined. And more
fans present than will attend all the NASCAR events of the last three
years combined.

For sale: 200 acres of highly prized real estate just 45 minutes west
of Miami, FL. Utility connections planned for near future. Road system
and construction preparing for engineering review. Great for building
new homes or office complexes.

I think his agenda was presenting facts. I know that's a word that
eyearellers have a difficult time with.
