Bourdais - DEAD LAST!

Bourdais - DEAD LAST!

As with other series he's tried (e.g., the IRL's Indy 500,
IROC ...) Chump Car's premier 3 time "championship"
winning "star" Sebastien Bourdais proves once again that
he can't even be competitive, this time during his sympathy
"test" with an F-1 team. Hell, he was even beaten by Liuzzi.
Odd that no one in the Chump newsgroup dared to mention
his abject failure of coming in dead last and very nearly 3 full
seconds behind Kovalainen. Tooooo hilarious. Looks like F1
knew what they were doing year after year by ignoring him.

Jerez F1 testing times - Wednesday:

1) Kovalainen, Renault (B), 1:19.467, 112 laps
2) Badoer, Ferrari (B), 1:19.901, 78
3) Klien, Honda (B), 1:20.005, 122
4) Rossiter, Honda (B), 1:20.016, 97
5) Fisichella, Renault (B), 1:20.104, 100
6) de la Rosa, McLaren-Mercedes (B), 1:20.125, 110
7) Massa, Ferrari (B), 1:20.160, 74
8) Heidfeld, BMW-Sauber (B), 1:20.209, 83
9) Trulli, Toyota (B), 1:20.244, 93
10) Montagny, Toyota (B), 1:20.493, 54
11) Paffett, McLaren-Mercedes (B), 1:20.541, 88
12) Vettel, BMW-Sauber (B), 1:20.575, 94
13) Nakajima, Williams-Toyota (B), 1:20.859, 95
14) Sato, Super Aguri-Honda (B), 1:20.977, 121
15) Ammermuller, Red Bull-Ferrari (B), 1:21.371, 91
16) Liuzzi, Toro Rosso-Cosworth (B), 1:21.843, 65
17) Bourdais, Toro Rosso-Cosworth (B), 1:22.521, 80

The car that won the WDC scores fastest, as might be expected.

7 tenths shy of Liuzzi in the other Toro Rosso after one day of testing
is perfectly respectable for any driver. If he was faster than Liuzzi,
who's been driving that car all year, that would be very impressive, but
7 tenths slower is not shit. Comparing his time with Kovalainen, who has
had a fair go in an F1 car already, is just pointless.

Good grief, it's still alive...

FYI Phil - logic, reason, and facts are of no use with this being. It is
a troll from r.a.s.i and r.a.s.c. that makes Sweeney look sensible and
peaceable. Just so you know what you can expect...

There's something that can make Sweeney look good? God help us all.

I guess it's a good thing I've already plonked it. I have high blood
pressure as it is!

Long since kf'ed. I'm at the point where I don't even respond to
posts that quote him.

My blood pressure is controlled by medication. 109/77 last time I
checked. The medications it needs are much stronger and traditionally
administrated in an institutional setting.

Well, my doctor is telling me to watch my diet (I need to drop about 25
lbs. & reduce my lipid count) & get more exercise, then in three months
we'll see where I am. My issue has to be work stress related. It was
116/80 in July, then one day in October it clocked in at 154/115.
Within a week, without medication, it had come back down to 130/84.
Last week at the doctor it came in at 145/84, and yesterday it came in
at 135/95.

I'm convinced that the stress of seeing a Doctor doesn't help at all,
especially if they keep you hanging around! Anyway don't worry about it
too much as you could get run over by a bus tomorrow.

Merry Christmas. ;-)

You know I don't believe in medication other than single-malt Scotch and
the laying-on of hands (ideally yours ;P)

Absolutely correct. "White coat hypertension" is a pretty frequent
diagnosis, and one or two measurements at your GPs may be just about
useless. We use a 24-hour monitoring system that the patient carries at home
and at work, giving us an insight into how her blood pressure varies during
the course of a normal 24 hr period.

I remember those. Being woken up every hour through the night by the air
pump did nothing to help my blood pressure.

Depends on where they'd wrapped the measuring cuff... ;-)

Right. Wrapping the measuring cuff around your neck may not be the best way
to do it :o)

<grin> I'm a light sleeper, and I had a clapped-out NHS model. When it
started up, it sounded like God's Hydraulic Drill.
