The Pope and F1

The Pope and F1

It was with pleasant surprise that I read of the Vatican's membership
of the FIA. This despite the 2005 donation of a fancy toy Ferrari to
the old Pope, by Schumi and Barrichello (not what you'd call "the
widow's mite" in terms of corporate donations). Trulli adorned his
helmet with a "Thank you, Pope" (literal trans.) sticker when JP
died. Not major stuff.

Things were better in 1988 when Il Papa himself travelled to the
mountain at Maranello and blessed two F1 cars outside their
workshops. I have linked 3 photos of the occasion, but not the
crucial photos I recall vividly, which showed John Paul actually
blessing the cars --- a modest gestural blessing, not resorting to the
aspergillum (brush or ball) with holy water. Now that trumps all
other teams.

Is McLaren in full communion with the Anglican schism? If so, Dr.
Rowan Williams could perform some pagan mummery on the MC cars, in
hopes of rivalling the True Faith.

Williams, feeling cast into the outer wilderness, might commission the
services of the East Anglian Strict Baptists to counter the force of
Rome.

Lastly, before the the links, let us now open our minds to the
heavenly vision of a full Vatican Team, colours, heraldry, mechanics,
fuel and lubricants, but who shall drive the cars? Plenary indulgence
for the best three visions, deadline Tuesday 15th April.

I think McLaren won the championship in 1988 so it looks as though the
Anglican Heresy triumphed despite the Pontiff's intervention.

Obviously the work of The Great Adversary.
I love an e-mail tag I saw recently, "Sad that the world has stopped
believing in the Devil just at a period when He is the only possible
explanation."

They even had "John Paul" written on the side of the Ferrari. Not "George
and Ringo" though.

Makes Mosley's fucking horny bit look positively fucking anemic - he only
gets the horn for Nazi domination... D&C for FIA president. Yeah, I know
there's a slight problem with that - they're fucking dead - but so fucking
what: still better than fucking Mosley.
