Vile, horrific, loathsome, sick-making, yes. It's odd that the FIA
chooses to mandate every material and capacity and electronic control,
and engine configuration, about which nobody in the stands cares a
hoot.
But if they simply mandated that all cars look like the Lotus 25 or 49
or the Gurney Eagle ---- a principle and effect that would be no more
"conformist" or "spec" than the stuff they legislate now ---- , grand
prix racing would be something to look at!
