Bernie wants Max out

Reply from: peter

"The pressure on embattled motorsport boss Max Mosley has increased
after it emerged Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone wants him to
resign.

Ecclestone invited F1 team principals to sign a letter calling for
Mosley to stand down and said he would add his name if they all signed
it.

Seven teams agreed, but three did not - Ferrari, Toro Rosso and
Williams.

Mosley was accused by a newspaper of taking part in a "Nazi-style orgy".
He denies his deeds had Nazi connotations."

Bernie is right. When people think of F1 they should think of Stewart and
Senna and that German guy. They should not be snickering about some
uniformed sex orgy in which some old guy paid a bunch of girls to play along
with his fantasy sex games.

The therapist types actually encourage play acting as a way of expressing
oneself but they generally do not encourage it being all over the tabloids.

Max is not really a bad egg for having an active private life but he should
have been much more discrete about the matter.

Well, it wasn't his choice to have it on the tabloids, but i must
agree with everything else you said and yes, that hurts a bit. ;)

However, bloody Frank(the other one) screwed up the conspiracy by not
agreeing with the signing. I mean, yes, he likes to stay away from
this sort of crap and just do the racing thing, but now how can we say
that Ferrari and Little Farrari won't sign for "obvious reasons" ?
I'm ashamed to be a Williams fan now and on their behalf, apologise to
everyone on the group for having caused this irrepairable situation.
Nah, not really. ;-)

More on the meeting, squabbling about who would sign the letter and in
which order!

Max WILL not leave until he has a rabid Ferrari supporter to help them win
championships (on track or in court)

It'll probably be the poison dwarf Todt who takes it.

Yeah, We'll REALLY know how F1 is run then...Corrupt as it's always been.

I notice MS checks the cheats on the car during testing and is always there
on the pit wall to check they're working.

If you see him in the future expect an FIAerrari 1 and 2.

Right now, Ferrari is winning races without Max's help.

He must be a power hungry bugger, eh?

He does the job for free, has embarrassed the sport; and still refuses to
stand down.

In the litany of reports and opinions on Max that I've read, at least a
couple have pointed to the history books, saying that his attitude is
"genetic", because Sir Oswald was apparently has equally as head strung.

Oswald Mosley was constitutionally unable to admit defeat. Once the
full horror of Nazi rule became clear after WW2 he there was never a
chance of his becoming a serious political leader yet he formed the
Union Movement and continued to speak at meetings. He stood in both
the 1959 and 1966 General Elections, losing his deposit on both
occasions. After the 1959 loss he launched a legal challenge, claiming
that the result had been rigged.
Like father, like son it seems.

There's a great picture of them all on this page:-

http://blogs.notw.co.uk/sport/2008/04/seven-teams-wan.html

"furious Ecclestone stormed out after a row with Williams chief
executive Adam Parr.

An eyewitness at the meeting said: "Adam was saying Bernie had not lived
up to some deal they had agreed.

"Bernie hates that. He just lost it with him, saying: ?Who are you?
You're a f****** amateur!' and just stormed off. "

You do wonder if all this could be the beginning of the end of the Max &
Bernie stranglehold on F1...

Or one of them.

How now can Bernie do business with K-Max?

It certainly looks like things are unravelling.

And continuing,

""I have never seen Bernie get so angry and lose his rag like that before.""

That time of the month, one imagines...
