The Day After - US Grand Prix 2005

Well, I spent the last week in Greenville South Carolina last week, and my
hotel was across from Michelin USA's headquarters!

Greenville is a town of 50,000 at the top of South Carolina, they manufacture
many BMW automobiles there, my Techical Services Divsion is there, and across
from my hotel was the beautiful, magnificant US headquarters of Michelin USA.

All I could think of when I saw that great building was "Wow! I bet that's
where the fur hit the fan after the 2005 USGP!"

I shared my comments with one of my collegues, but people down there just
don't get F1.

Still, that's the building where on the Monday following the 2005 USGP, the
board room blew up and French words were thrown like weapons!

It's kind of like an icon!

Too bad Michelin isn't in f1 anymore. When they were in F1, they were
kicking Brigestone's ass. The same way Brigestone kicked Good-Year's
ass when it first entered in f1. I miss the tire wars

FFS, the filthy cheats couldn't even make a wide tire that would last
a third of a race at Indy.

BMW Manufacturing is in Greer between Greenville and Spartanburg.
