Steve Matchett said the BMWs seem to be heavily optimized to exploit low
drag when it's appropriate, but are less stellar with medium- to
high-downforce setups. He remarked that their aero guy is rather into
the little details that are so important in minimizing drag, but when it
comes to some other areas "doesn't love it as much."
Note also that in France they'll be running stiffer suspensions and
lower ride heights than anywhere else, so they're into a unique
parameter space when it comes to generating downforce.
