Yawn...Iowa.

Another doval. Big deal. Another NASCAR designed track.

Why can't they just run two races on different dates at Milwaukee or
Texas if they can't find a decent track?

Or, maybe see if they can't find a way to motivate people to drive out
to the middle of nowhere for a race in Loudon.

It's been so long since I have seen proper cars race in NH, I don't
remember what they look like. Actually, they should add Road Atlanta
so I can get my stalk cawr friends interested...again. They loved AMS
so this could be an easy convert.

Panoz was only pissed at Chris Pook, IIRC, not Tony.

USAC used to do that. Spring and fall races at Phoenix and Trenton.
That was one of the things that CART specifically changed when they
came into power.

Back when IRL was trying to restore tradition they had two races at
Texas, but eventually they dropped one. The tale was that the second
date didn't mesh well with the NASCAR schedule, but IMHO it was
because of the influx of ex-CART teams who couldn't count to two.

I've been wondering that myself. After they strip the corn itself off
to make ethanol, do they butter the cobs and sell them?

Without beliefs and agendas, we'd have nothing.

Sports talk would certainly be pretty dull.

*AHEM*

Shamelessly reposted quote from r.a.s.f1:

"Lotta people go through life doing usenet badly. Usenet's important to
men who do it well. When you´re 'on' usenet, it's life, anything that
happens before or after is just waiting."

Anyway, back to the point, I didn't know spec cars, spec motors,
racing in furrin' lands as well as on streets and roads is "trying to
restore tradition"....

They're not trying any more. All IRL has accomplished is to bring
back good racing. At least on the ovals.

So CART had poor oval racing on the ovals?
