Tony K. on Pole for Richmond!

Maybe there is a small glimmer of hope for AGR.

TK was pure class all night. Marco showed some good form as well.

Shhhhh...I haven't seen it yet, but I did see the results. Is it worth
watching 'cause I do have a recording???

BTW, what happened to young Rahal?

Personally, I'd say it isn't worth watching. Massive crash-fest without
too many good battles. A couple good scraps, but not too many. I think
there were only 12 or 13 cars running at the end.

Graham said he had a car 'pushing like a pig' all night and finally lost
it on his own and put it into the wall. Looked like a classic rookie
mistake to me.

[snip]

I'll second that. Way too many wrecks. Just about half the field
crashed out. Ten cars officially eliminated by "contact", but two or
three of the rest came out for points after spending many laps fixing
crash damage.

The Sprint and Silver Crown races earlier in the weekend were much
better, even though niether had a whole lot of passing and the car
counts were a bit low. Real Silver Cown cars were back!

I finally watched it last night and it wasn't too bad ( I have a very
fast FF). When they weren't wrecking it was very entertaining. Of
course, there were too many crashes, but that is an IRL tradition. I
like Richmond much better than any doval -- they have to lift
significantly and the talent it takes to drive well is very apparent.

That is what it looked like to me. It seemed to bite the best of the
new crowd. Cammara, Power and Viso seemed to fall to the same problem
with entering too fast and having a loose car, but they will get the
oval experience pretty fast and then it's sink or swim.
