Danica you suck

Around lap 97 there was a report of radio traffic from Helio where he was
talking of expecting her to lift, so pretty much the fans and the drivers
see it the same way.

So, instead she kept on the gas and maintained speed and was able to
keep her position. How exactly is accomplishing one of racing's most
basic goals 'sucking?'

No rule applies 100% of the time...my point was that everyone is expecting
her to lift.

Regarding sucking, she hasn't shown any real 'drive' since Indy 2005. She
just doesn't push the matter any more until she's informed she's about to
be lapped.

There seem to be several induhviduals in the IRL (and other series, of
course) that have this problem. Some drivers seem to lack motivation
when they are not at the front and don't have any chance of winning.
The really great drivers push until the green flag waves -- no matter
what condition the car or they are in.

I was at Richmond and listening to Helio at the time in question. Danica
was in the middle of three wide with Helio trying to get around the top.
Danica did a great job of holding her line and staying on the gas. She
could have easily caused a crash, it was real tight. Helio got on the radio
and said "I thought she was going to lift! BITCH!". Half a minute later
Helio got on again and apoligized for saying that. He said "sorry if I
offended anybody with my last remark".

Didn't Dixon say she was a "Menace" somewhere prior? And he was the one who
got penalized for being a hazard prior where she didn't?

Got to admire her that she didn't chicken out in the 3-wide scenario like
they thought a girl would do. Also, notice how 'slow' she seems to talk
when the action is at 200 mph compared to some of her male counterparts who
chatter fast like "girls?" I think her brain is farther ahead of her in a
race as she seems fairly well composed when the heat is on.

She seems to take better care of her car as well, where all the guys

LATER!" seems her motto.

She just needs a much, much faster car than what she has.

She did her usual good job of riding the back of the top ten and
staying out of trouble -- blocking and holding her position to the
end. Too bad she can't make it to the front and stay there.

She has the same car as the guy who won the race. Maybe Brian will
allow her to have a turbo ;-) Her problem seems to be she can't keep a
good setup during the race. Every race she seems to complain about a
loose car. Providing feedback to the engineers beyond "loose" is where
the good drivers have an edge or where the great drivers can drive a
bad setup to the front.

As much as I would like to see her succeed, she has found her level
around the back of the top ten.
