Richmond crash fest

I watching this race delayed...what happens if all the cars crash out?

Is the IRL spec racer the most thoroughly crash-tested chassis in
history?

I don't know but that track must be. These cars don't belong on
that track.

Agreed, that track is inappropriate for real racing. Leave it to the
rednecks.

I just watched it. What a bloody mess!

The cars definitely do not belong at Richmond.

It's too bad. The attendance looked good.

Surely its up to the teams and drivers to avoid crashing? If they know that
there is a characteristic of the track that is unfavourable and we Muppets
on a NG know that, then why cant the teams be expected to proceed
accordingly?

You'd think that drivers at this level would have done their homework,
but here's a learning curve. The yellow flag record that was tied was
from the first Richmond race. Of the nine drivers that came from
CCWS, and were in Richmond for the first time, six crashed. I expect
that next year they'll do a lot better.

Six of the top 10 in Richmond are from CCWS.

The three first timers who didn't crash out, plus three who came over
several years ago and had experiience. The three with a few years
under their belts finished 1-2-3. CCWS was an excellent feeder
series.

Like I said, there's a learning curve, and I expect that they'll do
better next year. Just a shame that they didn't figure it out in
advance.
